Twenty Questions... sort of

Over at the Angry Lurker, a blog I read on a regular basis as I'm sure most of you do as well, an "angry reject" set of questions has been posted. While "not a virus" it was suggested to have a go at the list, so I am up to the task. I found it over at my fav hobbyist blog: Mik's Minis, where gardening and gaming collide.

1. Favorite wargaming period, and why? I love Fantasy, Blood Bowl, Uncharted Seas and WFB are all in this period and are three of my favorite games.

2. Next period, money is no object? Sengoku period - The period of warring states in Japan that saw the establishing of the Togukawa Shogunate in the early 1600s.

3. Favorite five films? Grosse Pointe Blank - It's hilarious and gets better everytime I watch it, Gattaca - One of the most beautiful films I have ever seen, Fifth Element - great script, Luc Besson & Jean Paul Gautier! Amelie - It just is a beautiful movie, The Princess Bride - "My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!".

4. Favorite five TV series? This is tougher, Daria - she is my role model, Avatar: The Legend of Aang, The West Wing, Castle, Star Trek TNG.

5. Favorite book and author? My favorite book is Hedgewitch - Rae Beth, but my favorite author is Terry Pratchett.

6. Greatest general (yourself excluded)? I think that Napoleon is an under rated general, the man carved out a sizable empire in a tough period despite having to deal with the rather large handicap of being French... Although I guess he was really Corsican which is, I'm sure we all agree, much less of a handicap!

7. Favorite wargame rules? Blood Bowl, hands down, no doubt about it (yes I know it is kind of a board game but I don't think of it like that). I first played BB when I was 8 or 9 and loved it, simple, fast and really fun.

8. Favorite sport and team? My all time favorite sport is Gaelic Football but as that doesn't really get shown outside of Ireland, I'd have to go with American Football and the Oakland Raiders. I would dearly love to watch them play live one day.

9. If you had a one-use time machine, when and where would you go? I'd take a risk on us not having blown the crap out of each other and travel to 2999. I think I would be totally lost but I'd love to see mankind's progress.

10. Last meal on death row? My mum's Tuna Fish pie and Chocolate roulade for afters.

11. Fantasy relationship, and why? This is not easy, I tend to like to actually know the person before dating them, having said that... maybe Winona Rider.

12. If your life were a movie, who would play you? Daniel Radcliffe... although he'd have to put on a few pounds.

13. Favorite comic superhero? The Silver Surfer!

14. Favorite military quote? It's debatable who said it first, but the gist is, "No battle plan survives contact with the enemy."

15. Historical destination to visit? Kyoto Castle in 1604.

16. Biggest wargaming regret? All the figures that my parents put into storage and then lost.

17. Favorite fantasy job? Working at Google, don't really care what I'd do there but that would be awesome...

18. Favorite song, top five? Imagine - John Lennon, Creep - Radiohead, Lost Art of Keeping a Secret - Queens of the Stone Age, Blind Pilots - Cooper Temple Clause, Lithium - Nirvana. (Apologies to Placebo and The Beatles for not making the list)

19. Favorite wargaming moment? Playing Uncharted Seas Tournament at the Spartan Games Offices a few years ago. It was a great day and I really wish I could've stayed longer.

20. The "miserable git" question, what upsets you? Stupid People... there are just so many of them.

Well, you know the drill...enjoy!
